Xalyo Systems Announces XS-AMC1, ATM and Ethernet Network Processor Based
Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC).
Geneva, Switzerland, June 3, 2005 – Xalyo Systems today announced
XS-AMC1, a highly integrated ATM and IP Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC)
based on Wintegra’s WinPath 787 Network Processor.
Featuring a configurable mix of four OC-3/STM-1, one OC-12/STM-4,
and two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, XS-AMC1 is the perfect interface
to handle both ATM and IP simultaneously. XS-AMC1 provides exceptional
media flexibility with software selectable I/O ports and use of SFP
transceivers.
Supporting ATM and IP bridging, routing, switching and termination,
XS-AMC1 is ideally suited for applications such as Wireless Infrastructure
and Broadband Networks.
“XS-AMC1 is the first intelligent network processor based AMC
on the market” said Andre Wiesel, Xalyo Systems’ President. “It
brings unprecedented I/O density and modularity allowing our customers
to migrate from circuit switched networks to packet switched networks,
while providing flexibility to cope with the rapidly evolving standards.”
Compliant with PICMG AMC.0, AMC.1 and AMC.2, XS-AMC1 can be used in
AdvancedTCA, MicroTCA and proprietary applications.
Software support is provided for Linux and VxWorks.
XS-AMC1 will be exhibited at SuperComm 2005 on Wintegra’s booth
#18021. XS-AMC1’s general availability is September 2005.
